What Do You Think?

Do you find mysteries intriguing? Charles de Lint said, "Without mysteries life would be dull indeed. What would be left to strive for if everything were known?" People have actually estimated that it would take 3.2 million DVD's to back up the information stored in a human brain. Yet there is still the unknown.

Missing Man

Joseph Schexnider went missing in 1984. Mr. Schexnider was due to appear in court over possessing a stolen vehicle at the time he went missing. His remains were found 27 years later lodged in the chimney of a bank, during renovations. It is believed that he died of dehydration.

Gunfight at O.K. Corral

Sometimes it is difficult to tell the good guys from the bad. The story of the gunfight at O.K. Corral, as history tells, is that Wyatt Earp was attempting to enforce the ban on firearms in Tombstone. Stories of the fight generally do not take into consideration the brushes with horse theft by the Earps or that the reason the McLaurys moved to Arizona was for its grazing land.

Crop Circles

Crop circles pop up usually overnight. A crop circle consists of a pattern created by the flattening of a corn, wheat, barley, or rye field. Some people say they are created from wooden planks and a board. It is suggested that a Global Positioning System, lasers, and microwaves create the more complex crop circles.

Mysterious Hum

An unexplained humming noise is heard in a small village in England. No source can be found for the low level humming sound. The villagers claim that every night the noise, "permeates the air similar to the throb of a car engine." A council has been called in to investigate the phenomenon.

Da Vinci Painting

An oil on wood painting titled "Saviour of the World" or "Salvator Mundi" was originally believed to be the work of one of Da Vinci's pupils. The painting depicts Jesus Christ offering a blessing while holding a globe. Experts have now confirmed that Da Vinci is the true artist of the painting. The experts involved in authenticating the work along with the National Gallery in London where the painting is displayed are refusing to comment.

Spontaneous Fires

Experienced firefighters say that they have never seen anything like it! Spontaneous fires seem to unexplainably erupt around a South African family. The family lost all their possessions and home in the fires. Fearing the fires, nobody wants to provide shelter for the family.

R. I. Fitzhenry once said, "Uncertainty and mysteries are energies of life. Don't let them scare you unduly, for they keep boredom at bay and spark creativity." What do you think?

I post this blog with sadness in my heart for Goodblogs and the opportunity it presented to myself and other fledgling writers to earn some extra money and meet other writers. I plan to sign on as often as possible and comment on the blogs of others, as well as posting a blog from time to time myself. I hope to stay in touch with many of you, my Goodblogs friends! Thanks again Jason!

Carolyn.......Oh how I am going to miss your daily blogs! I voted of course and saddingly enough I find myself upset that such a wonderful addition to my life must come to an end so abruptly. You will never know as well as the other friendships that I have so cherished from Goodblogs has meant to me! This place has been a safehaven for me to come to daily for laughter, encouragement and support and for this tears fall from my eyes as I see such splendor come to a screeching halt! I pray that God will intervene on our behalf and provide a way for Jason to make money and be able to pay for the long hours of beautiful Front Page articles as well as those of us who are up and coming writers to continue to grow! I HAVE NOT AND WILL NOT GIVE UP FOR JESUS SAID," WHERE TWO OR MORE ARE GATHERED IN MY NAME AND ASK FOR A PRAYER TO BE ANSWERED HE WOULD BE FAITHFUL AND HEAR OUR PRAYER AND ANSWER!" IF GOD BE FOR US W HO SHALL BE AGAINST US! JESUS IS NEVER TOO LATE! HE IS RIGHT ON TIME! I LOVE YOU, MY DEAR FRIEND! LORI

Lori, if Google Adsense will accept Goodblogs back as a client and pay up the back money owed Jason, he will be back in business. The site is not completely closing. It will still be open for comments and for people to post blogs. There just will not be a pay out for Top Posts! The number of blogs and visitors have dropped tremendously since the announcement.

Why is everyone jumping ship? God is able to do exceeding and abundantly more than we have ever dreamed or imagined! I will follow my bloggers but will not abandon this place. I feel that Jason needs us. My blogs have never made it to front page but I am always so proud of those that do! Who is the woman that keeps saying goodbye and then comes back blogging? The comments on this site have always been supportive except for a few I had noticed on ya'll blogs! Enough already is what I say! I'm not trying to be mean because you know my heart but I find some comments down right embarrassing, lengthy and frankly a waste of space. Love u Lori

Yes Immasweetiepie, there have been some comments that were uncalled for and downright mean spirited. But for the most part this has been a community of supporters! I plan to sign on at least once a day to add a comment to a new blog and maybe post my own. Thanks again! Hope you are improving. Praying for you!

Carolyn, I love mysteries. I grew up on and still read Alfred Hitchcock. I wish that his show still came on, but we don't get it here. My biggest mystery is figuring out how my keys and wallet mysteriously disappear then magically appear from time to time.
